Every upcoming birth should be celebrated by family and friends, even if the baby is not the mother's first.
Gift-giving rules change for the second baby shower. Since the mother has other children, it's possible doesn't need more baby supplies. Discuss the possibility of requesting gifts like diapers and formula. Another option is to request 'mommy gifts' such as bath oils, gift certificates to a spa, or edible goodies. You could also request that guests bring frozen foods to be consumed after the baby is born in place of a gift. Be sure to note your preferences on the invitation.
There's no reason to avoid a Baby Shower Theme. Just keep it new and original.
There's only one rule to remember for second baby shower games- Avoid any games which were played at the mother's previous baby shower! No one likes repeats!
