The baby shower idea:
Tiny plastic babies are bought and frozen into ice cube trays. These ice cubes are placed into guests cold drinks. This ice can be a great ice breaker (pun intended) for guests to get to know each other. Heck, you can even award a prize to the person whose ice cube is the first to melt.
Preparation:
You'll need to buy tiny plastic baby dolls, available in party stores or online. Place one doll into each cube of an ice cube tray (depending on how many guests are coming.) When all the guests have arrived, give each one a cold drink with an ice cube. Without touching the ice cube, have each guest keep track of their cube melting. The first cube to completely melt and yield a baby doll wins.
Variations:
The plastic baby doll can be substituted with any tiny plastic toy. We suggest rattles, animals or other baby-themed accessory.
