Who is invited to a baby shower depends on the type of shower. A good rule of thumb is to invite guests that know each other. If you're a co-worker throwing a baby shower for the mother-to-be, don't invite her parents. There's nothing worse than attending a party where nobody knows each other!
Also, make sure to create the guest lists with the expectant mom and dad. Depending on whether the shower is for girls only (or if they guys are also invited) you'll need to prep differently.
It's also important to keep the size of your baby shower venue in mind. For example, if your shower will be held in a small apartment, it's unwise to invite 25 guests. A good shower host is a wise shower host!
