Easy baby bootie cake

The baby shower cake:
The baby's arrival is celebrated with a bootie cake.

Decorating the cake:
Start out with a 9 x 13-inch cake (white, chocolate or other favorite.) Freeze cake for at least 2 hours before frosting. Make a triple batch of our basic white frosting. Reserve 1 1/4 cup of frosting and dye it pale yellow.
Place cake on decorating board. Frost the top of the cake yellow. Frost sides with white frosting. Fill pastry bag with white frosting and pipe border around bottom and top edges. Place yellow frosting into smaller pastry bag. Pipe a yellow border over the bottom white border.
Top your cake with plastic baby booties (found at cake or party supply stores) and plastic daisies. Place flower-shaped sprinkles on the top.

Variations:
Top your cake with other baby shower favorites like plastic rattles, baby dolls or balloons.
